Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Lab Carriers LLC (“Lab Carriers,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Lab-Driver mobile application or the Lab Carriers web platform at labcarriers.com (collectively, the “Services”).

The Services are tools used by Lab Carriers’ drivers, dispatchers, administrators, and clients to manage medical-courier operations. We collect only the information needed to operate the courier service, and we do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or sale to third parties.

1. Information we collect

When you use the Services, we collect only the data needed to operate the courier service:

Account information

• Name, email address, phone number, and your role in the platform (driver, admin, dispatcher, billing, or client).
• For drivers: license number and insurance number.
• For client companies: business name, billing address, tax ID (optional), service preferences.

Location data

• While you have an active route, we collect precise GPS location from drivers’ devices to provide turn-by-turn navigation and to share their position with dispatchers and clients tracking the delivery.
• Location is collected only while a route is active; we do not track drivers when they are off-duty.

Photos

• Photos taken in the app to confirm pickup, delivery, or package condition. These are stored privately in our secure Google Firebase Storage and associated with the corresponding route record.

Device information

• A Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) push token, used only to deliver in-app notifications about job assignments and route updates.
• Crash and diagnostic data (if Firebase Crashlytics is enabled) used to identify and fix bugs.

Operational data

• Addresses, order numbers, billing line items, route status, proof-of-delivery acknowledgements, and any notes you create through the Services.

We do not collect health information, financial account numbers, browsing history, contacts, calendar, or any other data not listed above. We do not use cross-app or cross-website tracking.

2. How we use information

• Route and operate medical-courier deliveries on your behalf.
• Show drivers turn-by-turn navigation between pickup and delivery points.
• Display live driver location to admins and clients tracking an active route.
• Send push notifications about new job assignments, route status changes, and in-app messages.
• Generate billing records, invoices, and proof-of-delivery documents.
• Diagnose and fix issues in the Services.

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, cross-app tracking, or marketing communications. We do not sell your personal information.

3. How we share information

• Within Lab Carriers LLC: drivers, dispatchers, admins, billing staff, and super-admins see the data needed for their role.
• With clients: when a client has submitted a route, they may see route status, driver name, ETA, and proof-of-delivery photos for their route.
• With service providers: Google Firebase (Firestore, Cloud Storage, FCM, Crashlytics, Cloud Functions) and Google Maps Platform (Geocoding, Directions). These providers process data on our behalf and are bound by their own privacy policies.
• For legal reasons: if required by law, subpoena, or to protect our rights, we may disclose information to law enforcement.

We do not share data with any third party for marketing purposes.

4. Data retention

• Active accounts: retained while the account is active.
• Closed accounts: data is retained for 7 years to meet courier-industry and tax recordkeeping requirements, then deleted.
• Photos: retained with the corresponding route record for the same period.
• Crash logs: retained for 90 days.

You can request deletion of your personal information at any time by emailing us at the address below. Requests are honored within 30 days, subject to legal recordkeeping requirements.

5. Security

• All traffic between the Services and our servers is encrypted with TLS.
• Personal data is stored in Google Firebase, which is SOC 2 Type II certified.
• Access to admin functions is gated by role-based controls.
• We follow industry best practices for credential storage.

No system can be 100% secure. If we ever experience a data breach affecting personal information, we will notify affected users within 72 hours of confirming the incident.

6. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate information
• Delete your information (the “right to be forgotten”)
• Receive a copy of your data in a portable format
• Object to or restrict certain processing

To exercise any of these rights, email operations@labcarriers.com. We respond within 30 days.

7. Children’s privacy

The Services are intended for adult business use and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please email us and we will delete it.

8. International transfers

Data is stored in Google Firebase data centers in the United States. If you use the Services outside the U.S., your data may be transferred to and processed in the U.S.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the Services and reflected in the “Effective date” at the top of this page.
